The Cover Shoot
Trying to capture the Visual Identity of the 3 tracks, which make up the EP
For context, before going ahead with the photo shoot for the EP Cover (taken by the fantastic @jimiherrtage). I forwarded over the mood-board, shown in my previous post @here. As well as the full EP (3 months ahead of the release date).
Soho has enough variety in architecture and landscape that we were able to get a range of backdrops and settings. As shown in the mood board, collages and retro-graphic imagery feature quite heavily, with that, seeking out colourful reflections and LED’s helped imitate this, in real life.
We wondered around for about an hour, after which selected ten to edit, it was a hard decision, which one to go for!
And the image which earned the cover:
I loved the fish eye lens in motion, with the reflection in the sunglasses and a small grin. There is a feeling of satisfaction and energy to it, which is a similar mood to receiving the masters, knowing there’s no turning back and preparing the release schedule and socials (still haven’t cracked this part, yet).
Next up, maybe it’s time to share a bit about the actual music and how it came about..!
